CANCER PREVENTION AND SUPPORT
In recent years I have witnessed close friends and family go through a cancer treatment journey and have had a growing number of enquiries for oncology support.
In 2022 I qualified to work in cancer prevention and with clients with a cancer diagnosis. I am featured on the BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) register of practitioners qualified to work in this area.
Nutrigenomics which is the study of genetics and food and lifestyle interactions, can provide an invaluable insight into certain genetic predispositions you may have and how these may be modulated. In 2023 I qualified as a Nutrigenomics Practitioner with Lifecode Gx
and am also featured on the BANT Register of those practitioners qualified to work in nutrigenomics/genetics.

Breast Cancer Prevention Programme with Mosaic Medical
I am delighted to say that from May 2024 I will be working with Mosaic Medical to offer nutrition support as part of their new cancer prevention service.
Clients who wish to focus on prevention, either because of a family history or who are in remission and who want to know what nutrition and lifestyle practices they can put in place to reduce recurrence risk, can book to speak to a doctor about this service via the link below.
Mosaic Medical is a team of medically trained doctors, who have trained in evidence-based functional medicine and who offer personalised treatment and the endless pursuit of finding the whole picture of health for each person they meet. The Mosaic approach pieces together all of the parts of a person’s health: there is no piece left out, no shortage of time to investigate.

Active Cancer Care
I support clients who are going through active treatment by offering nutrition and lifestyle recommendations with the aim to improve quality of life.
I work in an integrative capacity, meaning that I keep a client's medical team fully updated with any recommendations I suggest.
If you have active cancer and you are looking for complementary nutrition support, then please do book in for a call via the link below.
Any information provided within the context of a nutritional therapy programme is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Nutritional therapy does not claim to diagnose, treat or cure any disease including cancer.

According to the British Association of Integrative Oncology, of which I am a member:
Integrative oncology is a patient-centred, evidence-informed field of cancer care that utilises nutritional, lifestyle and complementary interventions alongside conventional cancer treatments to support better quality of life, improve resilience, minimise the side effects of treatment and improve outcomes.
Because a constantly growing number of people affected by cancer throughout the world turn to both alternative and complementary therapies as part of their cancer treatment plan, it is essential that healthcare professionals have ready access to information about research and existing treatment programs. There is a wide range of complementary and alternative therapies available today and both the benefits and risks/contraindications for these approaches should be readily accessible.
